Chomage is a three-piece band from Vashon Island, Washington that features Devin Sullivan (vocals & guitar), Chris Hayward (vocals & bass), and James Clapperton (drums). More compassionate than your average garage band, Chômage defines the new sound of pantry rock - an accessible and imperishable style of rock and roll that brandishes an open and serve philosophy. (for example: cat food, nori, canned meat, lemon curd, pickles, etc.)
Since their inception in early 2004, Chômage has put their talents to use in building songs out of used styrofoam cups, popcycle sticks, dried macoroni and other crafty waste items for the enjoyment of all their parents and their parents' friends! Chômage has been described by Alex Anderson, in Vashon's Beachcomber newspaper, as the areas best new regressive punk band The band's unrefined approach to entertainment is inspired in part by the back-to-basics attitude of early rockers such as The Ramones, The Modern Lovers and The Talking Heads.
